Skipping the grouping question, or leaving some groups unassigned, is a normal way to work. Decide once the data is in front of you. DepreciationPro keeps track of what is still unrouted so you do not have to.
Before you commit: Undo
While you are still in the import, the confirmation line carries an Undo link. Undo reopens the question and restores the group column to the normal mappable set.
After you commit: the reminder on the assets tab
If a return has assets that carry a source category but were never assigned to an activity or a GL account, a banner appears above the grid:

Filter the grid by Source Category, select the matching assets, then use Edit selected to assign them in one pass.

Assign in bulk takes you to the grid. Dismissing it is fine. It comes back on a later visit while unrouted assets remain, and it disappears on its own as you work through them.
Assigning in bulk
Filter the grid by Source Category. Pick one band, say every asset the file called “Vehicles”.
Select the assets. Select-all applies to what the filter is showing.
Choose Edit selected. Set the Activity or the GL Account for the whole selection at once.
Repeat for the next band. The reminder’s count drops as you go, and clears itself when nothing is left.
This is also how you use both dimensions
One file gets one destination at import. If you need activities and GL accounts, route the import to whichever the file is really about, then use the filter and Edit selected to fill in the other.
Because the original label never goes away, the filter is still there whenever you come back to it. Next week or next season.
