An Export menu sits above every report. Open it and pick Excel, CSV or PDF under This report. Each one exports the report you have on screen.

The Export menu sits at the right of the report controls, whichever template you have picked.
What each one produces

The file name carries the report, tax year, client and entity: Disposals_2025_ABC_Manufacturing_ABC_Manufacturing_LLC.csv, VehicleDetail_2025_ABC_Manufacturing_ABC_Manufacturing_LLC.xlsx. If the client and entity have the same name, it appears once.
Excel, CSV and PDF exports are each recorded in the return's export audit trail.
What carries from the screen, and what does not
This is the part worth knowing before you send a file to anyone.

Excel and CSV write the report's whole column set, in a fixed order, sorted by description. Hiding a column on screen does not remove it from the file.
The four Prior Depreciation breakout columns are the exception. They start hidden, and once you turn them on they appear in the Depreciation Schedule's workbook and CSV as well.
Grouping reaches the workbook and the PDF on the Depreciation Schedule, the State Depreciation Schedule and the Book Depreciation Schedule, as group headings with subtotals. Vehicle/Listed Property and Disposals can be grouped on screen, but their files come back flat.
PDF follows your visible columns. It is the only export that does. It does not follow the sort.
If the exact column set matters, use the PDF, or check the file before it leaves the firm.
The activity filter reaches all three files
Filter the Depreciation Schedule to one activity and the exports narrow with the screen. Excel, CSV and PDF each carry that activity's assets only, and the summary cards, the table subtotals and the grand total all agree with the file.
While a filter is on, a Filtered: marker with the activity name sits next to the Export menu, so you can see what you are about to export.
Each file says which filter produced it:

The filename carries the activity too, so a filtered file cannot be mistaken for the whole return: DepreciationSchedule_2025_ABC_Manufacturing_ABC_Manufacturing_LLC_Main_Street_Rental.xlsx. Spaces in names become underscores.
Clear the filter and the exports go back to the whole return, with no filter marker and no activity in the filename.
This applies to the Depreciation Schedule, which is the only report with an activity filter.
PDF exports run in the background
The PDF is built by a background worker rather than in your browser, so a several-thousand-asset return finishes instead of timing out.
Choose PDF and a progress tracker appears under the report controls. Keep working. A download link appears in the tracker when the file is ready.
Your firm can have 50 exports queued or running at once. Past that the export is refused with "Export queue is full (50/50 in flight). Try again shortly." Nothing is lost. Choose it again in a moment.
Excel and CSV download straight away.
The CSV item on Journal Entries
On the Journal Entries report a Format dropdown appears beside the other report controls with QuickBooks, Sage Intacct, and Xero. The CSV item in the Export menu follows your choice. The file is the journal-entry file for that system, not a depreciation schedule.
The item is disabled when the period has unmapped assets or no entries to write. A message under the report controls says which.
Excel and PDF on Journal Entries are unchanged. They export the on-screen entry table.
The Dispositions worksheet
On a return with disposed assets, the Export menu gains a Worksheets section with Dispositions worksheet (XLSX). It carries the per-disposition detail that the flat report columns cannot hold.
